Engine 4 & Ladder 4 responded to a fire alarm activation at Edwin Towers beside
Station 4. Upon arrival, the alarm was sounding on the 5th
floor. Engine 4 and Ladder 4 proceeded to that floor to investigate. Upon
arrival to that floor they were encountered with heavy smoke conditions coming
from a unit located near the elevator shaft. A second alarm was then
transmitted. Engine 4 & Ladder 4 rescued one occupant. The fire was contained to
the unit of origin. Companies that responded were: Batt. 1, 3, Engine 4, 1, 11,
5, Ladder 4, 1, and Rescue 10.
