SHIFT 5-24-2008
A first alarm assignment was dispatched to Old
Concord Rd. for a structure fire. Engine 15 arrived on
scene with heavy smoke showing from a church. Engine 27
reversed out and Engines 15 & 11 took two 2-½ hand lines
in to the sanctuary. They found heavy smoke and high
heat to the floor with no signs of fire. Rescue 10 found
a basement with heavy fire involvement. Engine & Ladder
4 were on the 2nd alarm for the church.
Engine 4 arrived and Capt. Bosche took staging while
Engine 4's crew was assigned to the basement division.
Engines 4, 27, 22, Batt 3, Rescue 10 operated two 2-½
hand lines in the basement and knocked down the bulk of
the fire. Ladder 4 made the roof and cut a large hole
and also checked for extension in the attack.
