B SHIFT - 9-25-2007
Engine 4 & Ladder 4 responded to smoke outside the
Charlotte Plaza Building on S. College St. As Engine 4
arrived, we could see noticeable smoke on the left side
of the building, with multiple people waving us in. On
the side of this building, there are grates covering
electrical equipment which is located underground. There
were leaves burning around the electrical
equipment. Several CO extinguishers and a booster line
were used to extinguish this fire. Companies on the box
were: Batt., 1, 3, Engine 4, 1, 5, 2, Ladder 4, 1.
