Engine 4 & Ladder 4 responded to a smoke in a house on
N. Caldwell St. Ladder 4 had just cleared a call around
the corner and arrived to find light smoke
visible. Engine 4 assisted Ladder 4 with investigation
of the attic area. After some looking, a small fire in
the rafters and insulation above the dining room was
discovered. This house was built in the 1800’s, and
contained some old wiring that wasn’t covered, which
caught the insulation on fire and had been smoldering
for some time. Companies that responded were: Batt. 1,
Engine 4, 1, 64, Ladder 4.
