Engine 4 delivered the Easter Bunny to the kids of 4th
ward, then participated in some potato sack races and
tug of war with the kids.

Engine 4 responded to a house fire on Barringer Dr. The incident was
upgraded to a working fire from the start due to multiple calls. Engine 2
arrived and confirmed a working fire. Engine 4 assigned to check the attic.
The fire was confined to one room. Companies on the box were: Batt. 3, 6,
Engine 10, 2, 5, 4, Ladder 2, & Rescue 10.

Engine 4 & Ladder 4 were dispatched to a fire in a building under
construction in the 200 blk. Of N. College St. Engine 4 & Ladder 4 arrived and
were flagged down on the 5th St. side of the building and were
advised that it was a rubbish fire below grade. Engine 1 arrived on the Trade
St. side. The access point was on the 5th St. side. Engine 4 &
Ladder 4 went to investigate while Engine 1 secured a hydrant and pulled a 1-¾
“ handline for fire attack. Engine 4’s Engineer hooked into the standpipe
system. Batt. 1 arrived and struck a 2nd Alarm because of the below grade
fire. The fire was quickly controlled with 1 handline.1st Alarm: Batt. 1, 3, Engine 4, 1, 5, 8, Ladder 4, 2, Rescue 3
2nd Alarm: Batt. 4, 6, Engine 64, 11, 10, 7, 6, Ladder 1, 18, Car 2,

Engine 4 & Ladder 4 responded to a trailer on fire loaded with pallets on
Atando Ave. Engine 11 arrived and confirmed a working fire. Engine 4 assisted
with suppression and Ladder 4 cut holes in the trailer for ventilation. The
pallets had to be removed from the trailer to complete suppression. Companies
that responded were: Batt. 1, Engine 11, 7, 4, 18, Ladder 18 & Rescue 10.

B SHIFT 3-30-2009
Ladder 4 was dispatched to a fall with injury at a
construction site located on N. College St. Engine 1 was
riding the area and picked up the call. Engine 1 and
Ladder 4 found that a worker had fallen 2 floors. Batt.
1 & Rescue 3 were added to assist.
 
A SHIFT 3-17-2009
Ladder 4 was dispatched to a vehicle accident at the
intersection of N. Tryon St. & E. 16th
St. \Upon their arrival, they found a truck that
carries large dumpsters that had crashed into the
bridge. The truck had just made a drop off and forgot to
lower the arms on the dumpster. The truck was traveling
inbound on N. Tryon St. when it struck the bridge, which
caused the cab to raise up and hit the bridge. The
driver was not injured.

Engine 4 responded to a fall with injury call at the new Wachovia tower under
construction. We found a patient in the basement level. The patient was removed and transported by Medic.
