SHIFT 4-26-2008
Engine 4 and Ladder 2 were dispatched to a Fire Alarm at
800 E. Morehead St. While en-route, the assignment was
upgraded to a box alarm assignment due to calls of smoke
and fire coming from the roof of a restaurant. Ladder 2
arrived with smoke visible. Engine 4 arrived and
prepared to reverse to the hydrant. There was a small
fire in the kitchen that had extended up the hood
system. Engine 4’s crew made the roof to check for
extension, while Ladder 2’s crew extinguished the fire
in the kitchen. Companies that responded were: Batt. 1,
3, 6, Engines 4, 6, 8, 2, Ladder 2.

Two vehicle fires in uptown Charlotte today. one was a
passenger vehicle on the Brookshire Freeway. the other
was a CATS Gold Rush trolley bus on East 10th Street.

Station 4 took part in the annual St. Patrick's Day
parade held in uptown.
 
A SHIFT 3-10-2008
Engine 4 & Ladder 4 were dispatched to a house
fire at 1108 Parkwood Ave. Engine 4 was out of the
station at the time just clearing another call, and
arrived at the same time as Engine 8 & Engine 7. Engine
7 established a water supply to Engine 8, while Engine
8’s crew began fire attack. Engine 4’s crew advanced a
second attack line in the house. Ladder 4’s crew split
their crew and vented the roof, and preformed a primary
search. Companies that responded were: Engine 8, 7, 4,
64, Ladder 4, and Rescue 10. |
